Stuck on S.S. Tidal in Pokemon Emerald? What to Do
You need to interact with the bed in your cabin to continue.
Just entering the room is not enough, and the ship will not progress on its own.
Situation
After boarding S.S. Tidal:
- you explore the ship
- battle a few trainers
- walk between floors
But nothing happens, and you cannot leave the ship.
Trying to exit just gets you stopped, and there is no clear next step.
Why You Feel Stuck
An NPC tells you that you can “rest in your cabin,” but it sounds optional.
It feels like something you can do if you want, not something required to continue.
Because of that, it is easy to:
- ignore it
- wait for the ship to arrive
- or assume another event will trigger
Even if you enter the cabin, nothing happens unless you interact with the bed.
The game never makes it clear that resting is required to progress.
What to Do
- Go to your cabin (No. 2)
- Stand next to the bed
- Press A to interact with it
Your character will go to sleep, and the ship will arrive at its destination later.
