Can You Get All Starter Pokemon in Pokemon FireRed?
No. You cannot get all three starter Pokemon in the same save file in Pokemon FireRed through normal gameplay. Choosing one means the other two are not available later in the game.
What Happens
- At the start of the game, you choose between Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle
- Your rival takes one of the remaining starters
- The last starter is never obtainable during the playthrough
There is no point later in the game where the other two starters become available.
Why This Feels Risky
You are asked by Professor Oak to choose between three Pokemon at the very beginning, but the game does not explain what happens to the other two.
This makes it feel like you might be able to get them later.
