Why the Town Map Is Not in Your Bag in Pokemon Emerald (And Where It Actually Is)

Why It Feels Missing#

You do not see a Town Map in your Key Items.

If you played FireRed or LeafGreen, you may expect the map to be a separate item given by an NPC.

Because of that, it can feel like you have not received it yet, even after progressing through the game.

Where the Town Map Actually Is#

• The Town Map is built into the PokéNav
• Open the PokéNav and select the map function
• It is available early in the game

Important#

The Town Map will never appear as a separate item in your bag.
